Expert Healthcare

Michelle studied at the University of Brighton where she gained her degree in Podiatric medicine. She is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry, HCPC registered, enhanced DBS checked and fully insured.

Michelle has many years of experience working as a Podiatrist in private clinics in Hertfordshire and Surrey and has worked in the NHS for Hounslow and Spelthorne NHS Trust, as well as Optimum Health Services NHS Trust ( SE London), before moving to Hertfordshire where she recently worked for Hertfordshire Community Trust and continues to work in a couple of private clinics in Hertfordshire as well as providing a home visiting service.

Michelle’s interests range from general podiatry, diabetic foot care, high risk (diabetes and vascular) wound care, biomechanics (MSK) to nail surgery.

Herts Happy Feet Podiatry was born out of the realisation that more and more people were not eligible to be seen under NHS Podiatry and visits to private practices were not always convenient or local for clients. Herts Happy Feet Podiatry is a home visiting practice where treatment is in the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you.

FAQs

There is no difference between a Podiatrist and a Chiropodist. Historically the name Chiropodist was used but Podiatrist is the internationally recognised name. Both Podiatrist and Chiropodist are protected titles, that means that only those individuals who gain their degree in Podiatry from one of the recognised universities and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) are allowed to call themselves this. All Podiatrists/Chiropodists must meet the HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics and standards for continuing professional development (CPD).

Typically a first consultation appointment will take up to 45 minutes and a return routine podiatry appointment will take up to 30 minutes. Biomechanical assessments can take up to 1 hour.

Payment is accepted in the form of cash, cheques or bank transfers
